The mystic sits inside the burning. ~ Rumi Painting by Aja Trier
"The Christian of the future will be a mystic or he will not exist at all." ~ Karl Rahner
The Christian of The Eternal Present
When we say we are a mystic in Christ, it can sound esoteric, gnostic, or even delusional to the analytical western mind, but as I face my mortality, it's what not only 'reaches through' but bridges me through the veil into the very presence of Christ, within and without me.
It expresses what it means to walk with God in the cool of the day, even in heavenly places in Christ. It makes these shadowlands less real than the eternal Glory of God. It is the eternal spirituality that is received and can never be attained because That is the nature of God's grace. Glory is grace's revelation.
We may receive this grace in Jesus as our Lord, May we be baptized in the Holy Spirit and Fire, Less these be the fading memories of a stillbirth,
Let these eternal living and life-giving realities Eternally transform our lives.
Are we dying to eternal life, waiting until we get to heaven to live in Christ? Are we living out of love, joy, and peace, or are we living out of the anguish of our brokenness?
The Turning Away
Let us embrace our restoration in God Crossing that Threshold, The turning away from our ego to receive and embrace the grace and forgiveness of God's love. Are we living in the shadows as in a distant dream, rather than walking, and living, and breathing in the Presence of God?
The Shadowlands of This World
Reviving in Jesus and being renewed with the Holy Spirit are sources of eternal life to and within us, but until we dethrone our ego, That Gatekeeper of our fallen nature, we are but a flash of eternal life, and dust in the wind, as we live in the shadowlands of this world.
May we live the Trinity of God, not as an esoteric or theological belief but as a living and life-giving reality.
The Perichoresis of God
I submit to you that the Perichoresis of God is not merely some religious belief but the divine quantum entanglement of God in us, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Waking in the choreography of God. Creating with our creator.
It is becoming who we are in Christ, In that, we are life-giving spirits, Embodied and living heaven in this world. Bridging as Christ, the healing of this world with God. Living and bearing the fruit of the Spirit, Within and among us.
The Illumination of Love
So where, or better yet, What is the source of your life? Where are you are living right now?
Are you living in Chronos, analytical linear time, Or are you living in Kairos, the eternal present, The all-encompassing of eternal time?
The Luminous Layers of Light
Are we living in the burning? Being purified in love's burning layers, burning up our wood, hay, and stubble, our chaff, pride, and our arrogance in its unfolding eternal layers of light? Are we revealing our eternal life in Christ?
Does the fruit within us taste like love, joy, and peace?
This is where every saint, sage, prophet, and mystic lives and lives out of, And we ask you to come join us
We are all asked to enter into the quiet, In the living and life-giving flames of God's love.
Our efforts must die, So that we might live in grace, So that Christ may be revealed Within, through, and among us.
May we have the inner eyes to see, Ears to hear, Hearts that comprehend, And Lives that live The love and the mystery of God Being revealed within and through us.
May we be the life-giving fragrance of God in this world. May we be the salt that heals and savors. May we be the light that illuminates, The Love that awakens, The Joy that quickens, And the Peace that comforts and heals.
May we be The Revealing as St. Teresa of Ávila says,
"Christ has no body but yours, No hands, no feet on earth but yours, Yours are the eyes with which he looks Compassion on this world, Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good, Yours are the hands, with which he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, Yours are the eyes, you are his body. Christ has no body now but yours, No hands, no feet on earth but yours, Yours are the eyes with which he looks compassion on this world. Christ has no body now on earth but yours."
This revealing as what a Christian Mystic looks like.
Make no mistake, there is judgment, Everyone is sifted Proven like pure gold. No one gets a free ride, But grace begins where judgment ends. Love never fails.
Everyone is called, and no one is excluded. Everyone evolves in Christ, and no one is left behind. Nothing can resist the love of God Forever, Nothing in heaven and on earth, Lest it ceases to exist at all, Where all darkness is swallowed up, Consumed by light, In the mystery of love beyond the veil
Within, through, and among us
As Children of light From the Creator of light, We are and are becoming Who and what we really are In this Luminous Web of Creating Light.
