We are all created spirit, soul, and body in the image and likeness of God.
We fell into dualism, yet now, by the life-giving Spirit of Christ, we are born from above, being revived, renewed, and restored by God from glory to glory.
"Only God can restore God within us and bring our 'likeness' of God's original intent, to life."
The Trinity & The Perichoresis
The Trinity and the Perichoresis are terms of encountering God that arose out of the wilderness communities who left the institutional empire church seeking to live Jesus.
Monasticism came out of their successes and failures in trying to live like Jesus, in community, as heaven on earth.
While seeking through prayer, worship, and their spiritual disciplines, they noticed the distinct persons and energies of God, the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit and came up with the term of the Trinity to represent the whole of God.
The Trinity can be likened to three living diamonds of creating light, reflecting the fire of each other's being in a dance of living light as One, and we are invited in.
They called this dynamic relationship, the Perichoresis, the Dance of God.
A post-modern way of seeing the Trinity is like three creating energies pouring this living light into each other like a quantum entanglement into a singularity we call God.
I submit to you that these life-creating energies are Love, Peace, and Joy.
Each creates a distinct life-giving resonance of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
So we are One: Body, Soul, and Spirit integrating into the 'Divine Dance' and harmony of God together through these three creating energies, of Love, Peace, and Joy.
So Let it Be, and Become within you like a cosmic explosion of creating light.
Again, "Only God can restore God within us and bring our 'likeness' of God's original intent, to life." It’s all grace. It's beyond us in every way.
Our spiritual life is the awakening transformation and integration of the eternal life of God within and among us.
We are Christ-bearers, life-giving spirits bringing the healing fragrance of God to all creation.
As the mystic St. Teresa of Avila, Doctor of the Church said so well:
"Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes through which he looks with compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good. Yours are the hands through which he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, yours are the eyes, you are his body. Christ has no body now on earth but yours.”
~ Teresa of Ávila
