A Sunday Reflection On COVID

We are being called out of our normal into our better natures, to be more human and more divine. We are being called to love, called into the nature of our Creator. Love is ever creating abundance. While lust consumes us, love expands us into the very nature of God.

Make no mistake: The two natures of love and hate are immutable. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that. **

So be kind, be wholehearted, be faithful knowing that what you sow, you will reap. It’s true, that what goes around comes around, and those who sow to the wind will reap from the whirlwind. So be faithful sowing patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control.

  • Know that the steadfast love of God is never-ending, his mercy at our stupidity never fails.

  • Mercy never fails.

  • Love never fails.

  • Know that when we are faithless, God is faithful, for such is the nature of love.

  • But know this also: As God is love, Love is a consuming fire, consuming our illusions of darkness, our boastful arrogance, pretense, posturing, and our privilege will be burned to dust if you choose to love.

Love serves one another, prefers one another, love chooses, and includes the other through us because that is the way abundant life works. We belong to each other. Jesus revealed it, ‘Love one another just as I have loved you.’

You are the body of Christ in this world. His hands, his feet, Your’s are the eyes through which the compassion of Christ sees. Yours are the feet He goes about doing good. Yours are the hands with which He is to bless us now. St. Teresa of Availa

Hate, the destroyer is self-consuming, eating itself to dust in the wind, while love, Love is always self-creating more connection, more communion, more peace, and greater hope. Love remains. Always choose love.

These three arise together within our hearts, Love, Joy, and Peace, and they will not elude us as we abide transcendent in Christ.

Do not read our times lightly for we are being called into our better natures, our higher natures, and they will not fail us, as God is faithful through us to all.

Heed the call of your heart of hearts, can you hear it? Can you taste the goodness?

Live wholeheartedly in the abundance of God to others who have not yet. Be the light in the darkness. Be the hope in the desert. Be the comfort in the storm. Be the salt of the earth. For this too will pass, but love remains. Love never fails.

And now may the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Love of God, and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you, abide in you, and flow through you to all.
